Dear my friend
I hope everyone is safe and healthy. First of all, let me start this message by saying I am incredibly proud of everyone reading this letter. You. Yes, you. You are fighting through this time and you are going to get through every struggle and worry that is on your mind. This is an absolutely unprecedented time. It is almost like the 10 plagues of God from the story of Moses in the Bible. (If you know about that.) From the virus to the recent racist doings of the American police department, 2020 is bringing us some of the worst things that I have ever witnessed. I know everyone is having a tough time at home whether it be financially or emotionally, but I know we are going to fight through this and in no time, life will go back to normal. Stay strong because I know for a fact that this is part of a bigger plan, and everything will get better soon. - Take care, Genu Lee

My name is Hannah and I will be a sophomore at North Hollywood high school this fall. I want to start off by reminding you to take care of yourself always, but especially during these times. We don’t know eachother but I think we can both agree that this year has been rough. However, it’s important that you remember to follow your dreams. If you work hard enough, I truly believe that anything is possible. One of my own goals in life is to help people, and this pandemic has given me an opportunity to, which is why I’m so glad to be able to help people even just by doing small tasks such as giving out gift boxes or writing letters to people. My name is Jaden Chung and I am going to be a sophomore at Valencia High School this fall. I hope you are doing well. It’s been pretty rough for everyone recently, with the virus outbreak and what-not. However, I hope that this doesn’t cause you to lose sight of your goals. Everyone has goals, and although it is harder for some than others, those goals are all achievable. That includes yours as well. My goal is to pursue computer science and create a service or application that can benefit the world in a positive way. That is why every day I am studying and working so that I can achieve this goal in the future. You aren’t any different. I am positive that if you work towards your goal, you will also be able to achieve it. No one else can tell you what to do except you. Don’t let anyone else define who you are; only YOU can do that. When someone tells you to give up, work harder than they do and prove them wrong. The point is that as long as you work towards your dream, it is 100% achievable. There may be people along the way who don’t believe you, but you just have to ignore them and make your own path. Hi my name is Daniel Song and I am entering my second year at North Hollywood High School this upcoming school year. First of all, I hope that you and your family are doing well even through these tough times amidst this covid-19 pandemic. Always remember that in tough times like this, safety is always your number one priority. Secondly, although this may sound a little cliché, I encourage you to never stop dreaming. I started robotics when I was in 5th grade with little to no knowledge at all about robotics. But with a passionate and confident mind, I have learned to work hard for the things that I desired. The hard work evidently paid off as my team and I won many competitions and was even qualified for the 2017 VEX IQ World Championship held in Kentucky. This just goes to show that if you have a certain goal in mind and you put your heart into it, anything is possible in reaching that goal. Although I do not know what dreams you might have or what goals you want to accomplish in life, one thing that I do know for certain is that you are capable of doing anything if you back it up with hard work. My name is Clay Shin and I am an upcoming 11th grade attending Granada Hills Charter High School. I am eager to be writing a letter to you all. I had an amazing experience when we first met at the Thanksgiving Camp, all the kids were very bright and cheerful. It made me so happy when all of you guys were having fun at the camp. You are all amazing kids and have a very bright future ahead of you. We hope to hold more of these in-person camps in the future when this pandemic is over. In the meanwhile, we are planning to hold an online coding camp so you can experience the camp from home! We want all of you guys to experience the fun you all had in the camp during this time of quarantine. We are all aware about the current coronavirus pandemic situation so we decided to make a gift box for you all to make sure you stay safe and healthy during this time of quarantine.
Voice of Calling has worked very hard and put their hearts out into making this gift box for you! Make sure to wear your masks wherever you go and stay at least 6 feet apart to minimize the danger from others. We hope you enjoy the small gift and continue to be safe and remarkable!

Hello! I hope you're doing well during this time. My name is Jason Lee and I just finished my sophomore year at Granada Hills Charter Highschool. My hobbies consist of volleyball and basketball but ever since we were in quarantine, I am sad that I am not able to play. I aspire to be a mechanical engineer which is why I find ways to educate myself on engineering. One such thing was joining the robotics team in my school. I still aspire to be a mechanical engineer today but nothing is ever set in stone. You can also aspire to be something as long as you never give up on it. If I aspire to be something, I know you can do the same. I just wanted to let you know that you are an amazing person and don't let anyone change that fact. Life is full of beauties because you're part of it. Remember to never give up on your dreams and if you don't have any right now that is ok. Just remember that you are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream. Once you have a goal remember to never give up on it. My personal goal is to attend a great college, and maybe play volleyball as a college athlete. However, through the efforts of people that care for others, a sense of community can form even in these isolating times. No matter what struggles you may be facing currently, keep in mind that your identity and dreams are not factors that can be manipulated.
