A free coding camp was erected for children in quarantine due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In a nutshell, our talented staff taught coding classes for a week to 1st-7th graders.
To our disbelief, 680 students were registered which resulted in 29 Voice of Calling teachers volunteering.
Friday, weekend, and sometimes every day our teachers and the ambitious students came hand in hand to explore the fascinating world of computer science.

Entering the foster care system can be a stressful and scary time for children. Foster children are frequently moved from one home to another during a crisis with only the clothes on their backs.
We decided to make a gift box for Foster Children. Because last year Thanksgiving, we had a Coding & Robotics camp for Foster Children. We were curious and worried how they were doing during the quarantine period. From July 11th, I heard that Foster Children came to Foster Children's Resource Center and picked up school supplies. We were distributing 100 gift boxes that had 700 masks, 400 face shields, 1200 face films, 100 ear savers, 100 bracelets, 50 key chains for foster children in front of the FCRC.
"My grandfather was an orphan, and if he had not been taken care of by the loving hands of others like Voice of Calling, I would not have been here today." One of the foster children caring people said to us....

As the Coronavirus is getting worse in the United States, face masks are becoming a scarce resource. When Voice of Calling found out about this unfortunate news, we knew we had to do something about it. Luckily, due to our Stempia team placing 3rd internationally at the American Computer Science League all star competition, we received a 3-D printer as one of the prizes. Currently, we are using the printer to produce face shields and hand made mask also.
It was distributed to various hospitals and related organizations.
Northridge Hospital-100 face shields
California Hospital-143 face shields & 90 masks
Laurel Canyon Dialysis LLC-100 face shields & 50 masks

Due to the many school closures around the United States, we have been making coding tutorials through video production. We will be giving these resources to High School Computer Science teachers all across the United States. As these videos are made by our aspiring computer scientists that are in high school, we believe the videos are friendly and relatable. We hope that the our website, voiceofcoding.com, will help teachers who are in need of computer science resources.

We collected laptops and tablets. We fixed them. We sent them to Cambodia.
Cambodia kids are using them.
